Completing the winding process does not mean that packaging is finished. Before plastic wire spools enter packing, storage and transport, a systematic check of the spool condition, winding arrangement, labels and protective measures can help keep the wire orderly and make counting, handling and later use more straightforward. The following points provide a practical pre-shipment checklist; the final method should still be confirmed according to the wire, spool, customer packaging requirements and transport conditions.
Check whether the flange diameter, barrel and bore suit the wire and the intended equipment. The overall wound dimensions and weight should also remain compatible with the planned packaging and handling method. If one batch contains different specifications, separate them before packing so that similar appearance does not lead to mixing. Product categories can be reviewed on the Changhui plastic wire spool page.
Look for visible deformation, cracks or sharp edges on the flanges. Confirm that the barrel remains intact and that the bore and connection areas show no condition that may interfere with handling or unwinding. For snap-fit, assembled or returnable spools, verify that the relevant connections are properly seated. Any questionable spool should be separated for review rather than packed with accepted units.
Observe whether the wire is wound evenly and whether the outer layer has obvious loose loops, crossed turns or local bulges. Secure the wire end according to the agreed packaging method so it does not loosen during vibration and handling. Adjacent spools should not press directly against the outer wire layer; dividers, corner protection or other suitable materials may be used when required by the product.
Label information should correspond to the actual product, quantity, batch and packaging requirement. Place labels where they are easy to read but less likely to be rubbed during transport. If several spools are permitted in one carton, confirm that their specifications are consistent and that the label direction supports efficient counting. Outer-carton information should correspond with the labels inside.
The packing orientation should keep the spools stable and avoid unreasonable pressure on the flanges. Transport distance, stacking method, loading tools and environmental conditions can change the level of fixation and protection required. Returnable spools should be inspected again after recovery before they are placed back into circulation.
